The twelve Will and Whimsy sketches, based on Shakespeare´s Sonnets, left our audiences with smiles on their faces, and generated many compliments for the professional standard of production. Saturday 1st July, was a great last night performance, during which James Innes took on the three character parts normally acted by Alessandro Contardi, in addition to his usual four roles, as Alessandro was unable to perform on the last night. See images from each sonnet below.
The audience, which included many Jávea Players members and friends, was great, and the show concluded with two curtain calls.
Over thirty members attended the post show party at Restaurante Chilito’s in the Plaça de Baix, during which Hugh Epsom (Stage Manager) made the traditional presentation of gifts to the Directors Claire and Paul, to thank them for directing another great show. These included a pair of tragedy & comedy ear-rings for Claire, and a Will Power T-shirt for Paul. They also both received the traditional framed posters signed by the cast and crew. See images below, which include photos of the some of the Workshop Team, in front of the Will and Whimsy set which they helped to design, and then built, and most of the Back Stage Crew, who were responsible for running the show.
Well done to all involved for presenting such a great production!
