Auditions for Wife After Death

9th June at 19.30 and 10th June at 10.30 in the Studio

Comedian and national treasure Dave Thursby has died; friends and colleagues gather to pay their last respects. There is Harvey, who wrote Dave’s material, Harvey’s wife Vi, Dave’s agent Kevin, and wife Jane. Dave’s glamorous young widow, Laura, has arranged a funeral to remember him, complete with a horse-drawn hearse, and an attendant dog. Stranger Kay turns out to be Dave’s ex-wife from before he was famous.Revelations about his dubious past and recent philandering end with the guests asking themselves if they ever knew the real Dave.
Excellent opportunity for 4 women and 2 men in the 6 strong parts: ages can be flexible. Laura is a “trophy” wife so needs to be younger than the others. 

Scripts are available now as are audition pieces. Auditions will be on the 9th June at 19.00 for 19.30, and 10th June at 10.00 for 10.30, in the Studio. Rehearsals start in September, show will run from 30th October to 4th November 2023.
