Next month we are showing one of the all time great movies, “To Kill a Mockingbird” starring Gregory Peck, who won an Oscar for his brilliant performance as the Southern lawyer who defends a black man accused of rape.
 
This faithful film adaptation of Harper Lee’s famous novel was made at a time when the civil-rights battles in the US were coming to the boil in the early 1960s and is certainly relevant today with prejudice on the rise again.
