Description
In this heartfelt comedy, three severely agoraphobic women leave their houses for the first time in years, and make it to a jumble sale, organised by their two social workers. However as the afternoon progresses, nerves and neuroses are running high and the distinction between the social workers and the anxious people they are supposed to be looking after becomes less and less clear.
Sue Townsend is well known as the author of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13¾ and The Queen and I and in Bazaar and Rummage she offers us an amusing yet sensitive portrait of the suffering behind their phobias.
