Poor Yorick Summer Show

The very popular Summer Al Fresco Tapas Dinner & Show is different again this year- a new director, a unique and very amusing play and, during dinner, ‘live’ music from Roger Brown

Written & Directed by Javea Players Member, Phil Mansell

Mon 2nd July to Sat 7th July 2018

A fresh take on ‘Hamlet’ with Yorick, the court jester, taking centre stage. After he flops trying to pioneer stand-up comedy to an audience of peasants, Yorick is persuaded by his tavern wench girlfriend Bess to return to Elsinore and get his old job back. But things have changed and our hapless hero becomes embroiled in Hamlet’s plans for revenge. A play packed with comedy, bawdy drama – and exploding medieval whoopee cushions.
